Clubs are the foundation of Indoor Youth Competitions in the Ontario Volleyball community. If you are interested in starting your own club, please contact Carrie Campbell (ccampbell@ontariovolleyball.org)
The OVA only accepts new Club Applications between the months of May and June via Formstack. The cost of the application is $500 (+hst) and the person filing the application must pay an OVA membership fee. Under no circumstances will late applications be accepted. Please email ccampbell@ontariovolleyball.org for a link to the submission page. Below is a list of documents required for each application.
- Not for Profit Certificate
- Club logo
- Mission Vision and Values of your Club
- Your history in the sport of volleyball
- Rationale for starting a club
- Three volleyball references. One must be from your most recent Club President or Executive
- Expected operating budget
- First Year Plan - Number of teams and types of programming your club wishes to run
- 5-Year Plan - Where do you see your club in 5 years
- List of your Club Executive and Staff and their roles. All Club Executive & staff must have completed their eligibility requirements as per OVA Policy
- List of confirmed coaches with NCCP numbers and OVA screening forms and enhanced police record checks
- Player, Coach, Parent and Club Administrator contracts and codes of conduct
- Club financial policy which outlines club fees and operating costs, team fees and financial management, refunds and non payment issues, how fines and sanctions are applied, pro-rating of fees for various reason
- Social media guidelines, which includes texting or direct messaging on any platform and email, how to properly contact coaches
- Discipline and or Complaints Policy
- Parent, Athlete, and Coach Code of Conduct
- Rowan's Law Communications, concussion protocols and return to play
