Just before the 2024 Ontario Championships start, we have compiled a few reminders for our members.

It's the biggest OCs yet and we would like to give thanks to RIM Park, Explore Waterloo, the City of Waterloo, Conestoga College, the EY Centre and Ottawa Tourism for being gracious hosts and helping us put on another wonderful installment of the OVA's flagship indoor event.

The Ontario Championships would also not be what they are without the support of our fabulous partners:

The Ontario Championships requires a lot of effort to pull off and we are grateful for our hosts who are just as dedicated to bring this provincial event to our members. We ask that you please respect the venue you compete in and follow their facility rules.

  • Standing Reach
  • Spike Touch
  • Attack Velocity
  • Height

OVA Athlete Development staff will be sending a reminder to those athletes in the morning of their event.

Parking Information

The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is honoured to host the Ontario Championships at RIM Park for five of our events, and as such, our relationship with the City of Waterloo is of great importance. The Ontario Championships continue to grow year after year, and so an event of this magnitude requires cooperation from all parties involved. With that in mind, we ask all participants to consider the following when travelling to RIM Park:

The main parking lots will fill up quickly. Event overflow parking is located northwest of the venue in additional lots as marked by signage along the road. A parking map can be found below.

The OVA provides a FREE shuttle bus for RIM Park to and from the additional parking lots. The FREE shuttle bus operates on a continuous loop as per the following schedule:

Days 1 & 2
7:30AM – 10:30PM

Day 3
7:30AM – 6:30PM*

*Shuttles for Events 3 and 4 will end at 10:30PM.

There are NO shuttle bus services for the 17U Boys Ontario Championships as only 24 teams will be on site per wave.

Safety for our patrons and the community is paramount. The City’s Municipal Enforcement Unit as well as City security will be on on-site to issue tickets or issue tow orders when safety and access is compromised or vehicles are parked illegally.

Please do not park in fire lanes, bicycle lanes, and emergency no-parking zones, or block roadway intersections or entrances. Vehicles parked illegally on Millennium Blvd will be ticketed and/or towed.

We encourage teams to carpool to RIM Park from their hotels to cut down on the number vehicles at the venue.

Parking at Conestoga College

For teams competing in Event 1 and 2 in Waterloo, Conestoga is used as an overflow facility; however, not all teams will play here.  Teams may be assigned to play at this location for 1 of their 3 competition dates.

Parking at Conestoga College is free on weekends. For weekday parking, there is a charge of $7.50 per vehicle/day before 4:00PM.

All parking purchases are through the HONK mobile app with no in person payment. Parking provides unlimited in/out privileges.

Parking at EY Centre for Ottawa Events

The EY Centre offers over 1800 ground level parking spaces on-site, plus ample space for buses and oversize vehicles.

Parking at the EY Centre is a daily rate of $10. EY Centre accepts Visa or MasterCard for express parking, as well as Interac or cash options. Please have your cards/payment method ready when entering the lot.

Please note, if you will require in-and-out privileges while at the EY Centre, please take your parking ticket to the EY Centre front admin office where they can exchange your parking ticket for an in-and-out parking pass at no additional charge.

The OVA deeply values our relationship with the City of Waterloo and the City of Ottawa, RIM Park, and the surrounding neighbourhoods. Therefore, it is crucial that our members respect the laws and safety of the community.

Thank you for your understanding.
