The 2024 Ontario Championships (OCs) Hotel Booking Process has begun and we understand that navigating this portion of OCs planning for clubs can be confusing and daunting, but hopefully the information provided below can make the process easier for when you're ready to make the bookings.

Only Book What You Need

With OCs growing every year, it means that hotel space for teams is being pushed to its limit with it being more challenging to find additional accommodations in the areas where events are held. Please be courteous when making your hotel bookings in that you are securing rooms for those who absolutely need it. We understand the importance of the Ontario Championships for members, but extended family members can look to secure their own rooms separately. Historically, there have been significant room drop offs by the time final rooming lists are due as clubs have booked more than they needed, which took away rooms for other clubs trying to book for their teams, so please just book what you require for your team. 

Stay to Play

The Stay to Play policy is in effect for teams travelling 125km and over (one way) to either RIM Park or EY Centre. This is calculated by from the distance of the club to the venue. Clubs meeting the Stay to Play parameters must book their hotels through HTG Sports. There are few exceptions which must must be applied for through this Formstack link.

How to Retrieve Your Team ID in MRS

If you have misplaced your receipts for any of your teams which includes the Team ID, you can just log into your MRS account, click on the team in question and hit "Download Roster". The Team ID is found on the second row of the Excel download.

RIM Park & EY Centre Booking

For 2024, teams that travel in excess of 400+kms one way from  RIM Park and 550+km one way from EY Centre will be given early access to secure their hotel rooms.  

The OVA is emailing all Club/Team Contacts directly that qualify  for the early booking links. The Club/Team Contact will then be responsible for distributing these links to the to the person responsible for booking their team block. The booking links will be active as of 10 a.m. your event booking date.  Please note, the booking link will deactivate as of 12:00 noon on the same day, and then reactivate as of 2:00pm for all OVA Clubs to access the link from the OVA website. 

Clubs within 400kms one way of RIM Park and 550kms one way of EY Centre can click on the booking date chart below for the event to secure their rooms.  Please note, the link will be active as of 2:00pm on your event. The link will be active at 2 p.m. on the day the booking process opens for each respective event.   

Due to the  teams booking at 10:00 am, you will see on the preview links that some hotels are now sold out.  Please note that these hotels will not be available to select when the general booking link opens at 2pm.

Update: EY Centre Event #2

Due to an influx of events in Ottawa around the time of the second OCs EY Centre event, finding more hotel rooms was required and now the booking launch has been set back to Tuesday, February 6. The same 10am and 2pm split applies for this event.

Teams that book in the 2:00pm launch, please remember to review the preview link after the 10:00am launch to ensure there is availability at your top 5 preferred hotels. Some of the properties may be sold out due to the early booking teams.
