From TheRecord.com:
Judah Verbeek only started training for beach volleyball last year, but that hasn't hindered his success as he is currently representing Team Canada at the under-19 World Beach Championships.
The competition in Nanjing, China, started Tuesday and runs until Sunday.
Verbeek, 16, was 12 when he started playing volleyball. He said he took part in the Kitchener Waterloo Predators summer indoor volleyball camp and fell in love with the game.
Eddie Coleman, one of the head coaches for Team Ontario beach volleyball, said Verbeek and his partner Max Losier, were given the chance to attend the world beach championships after competing in the U19 World Championship Canadian trials.
