Team Ontario coaches play a key role in helping athletes grow within an aligned, athlete‑centred high‑performance pathway. We are looking to hire coaches who value collaboration, constant learning, practice design focused on quality, and creating environments where athletes take ownership of their development.

How you coach:

• Design practices with clear and intentional objectives.
• Align training with Team Ontario principles and the Conditions for Quality.
• Teach with technical and tactical accuracy relative to developmental stage.
• Set and support clear understanding of effort, behaviour, and preparation.
• Foster athlete self-evaluation through purposeful inquiry.
• Connect training habits to the values and choices athletes bring.

How you interact with people:

• Communicate clearly and respectfully with athletes, staff, IST, and fellow coaches.
• Uphold Safe Sport standards.
• Contribute to a positive, accountable, and aligned environment.
• Model collaboration, care, and self-evaluation in your daily coaching behaviours.
• Work collaboratively across programs and disciplines.

How you grow:

• Show openness to feedback, self‑evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Engage in professional development.
• Connect your coaching to the broader pathway (club → Team Ontario → Volleyball Canada).
• Demonstrate year‑to‑year growth, particularly for returning coaches.
• Engage in on going self evaluation to strengthen your clarity, intention, and impact.
