The 1st Annual Dean Oberle Memorial Golf Tournament was held this past weekend on Sunday July 27th at Cambridge Golf Club.  Almost 150 people participated in the golf tournament either as golfers, volunteer, sponsors, friends and family in a great showing of our volleyball community.

Approximately $13,000 was raised towards the Dean Oberle Legacy Fund. These monetary resources will help fund scholarships through the Conestoga College Volleyball programs, the Ontario Baseball Association Umpires, and Ontario Volleyball Association referees council.

The goal of the Dean Oberle Legacy Fund is to honour, recognize and celebrate individuals who demonstrate a love of sport, a desire to learn and enhance skills, to mentor others, a commitment to teamwork and collaboration, and a positive impact on others through unwavering optimism.  All characteristics that Dean showed day in and day out.

It was an great day and a wonderful way to honour the legacy of our dear friend Dean Oberle.
