Ottawa, ON – The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) has officially concluded its month-long 2025 Ontario Championships, capping off an exciting season with the final two events: the 15U Girls (15UG) and 6v6 Boys & Girls (13U) divisions. Held over six action-packed days at Ottawa’s EY Centre and the University of Ottawa, these tournaments brought together young athletes from across the province, showcasing skill, teamwork, and the future of volleyball in Ontario.
The 15UG division delivered high-energy matches as 184 teams in six division battled for supremacy on the court - the largest event of the Ontario Championships, tied with the TLS Girls division. After intense pool play and knockout rounds, the competition came down to a thrilling final, with FCVC Aspen emerging as the Division 1 Tier 1 champions after a hard-fought match against Hurricanes Cat. 5 Denyse. Durham Attack Hydra was able to leave the event with a bronze to round off the tier.
The youngest competitors of the Ottawa Ontario Championships leg, the 6v6 Boys and Girls divisions, brought enthusiasm to the court, with many players making their provincial championship debut.
The 6v6 divisions were a showcase of developing skills, with coaches emphasizing fundamentals, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The atmosphere was electric, with families and supporters filling in courtside to cheer on the next generation of volleyball stars.
In the boys bracket, Venom Volleyball club continued their strong showing at this years Championships with their 6v6 Venom Mayhem team defeating KINETIKA Force in the gold final. Halton Hurricanes Cat. 3 Phil won in their bronze matchup against Storm Lightning.
After a substantial loss in the first set, Titans Omega were able to bounce back in the last two sets to pick up the Division 1 gold in the girls tournament against Durham Attack Spirit. Likewise in the bronze game, Leaside Strikers would recover from their first set defeat to take the next two on route to their medal.

With the final serves and spikes of the 15UG and 6v6 events, the OVA’s month-long Ontario Championships came to a close. Seven events, thousands of athletes competed across multiple age groups, demonstrating the depth of talent in Ontario’s volleyball community.
