Are you passionate about sports and eager to make an impact on the development of youth athletes in Ontario? The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is looking for a vibrant and hard-working individual to join our team as the Athlete Development Intern. This exciting full-time position is a chance to contribute to the planning and coordination of some of the most significant youth athlete development programs in Ontario.

As part of the Team Ontario volleyball initiative, you will play a key role in helping over 600 teenagers across the province achieve their athletic goals. From coordinating athlete selection and registrations to supporting major events like the International Coaching Symposium and the Team Ontario Sitting Volleyball Camp, this role offers diverse opportunities to develop skills and make a meaningful contribution to the sport.

This position is being considered as part of the Government of Ontario’s Summer Employment Opportunities Program. Pending funding approval, this initiative may receive support from the Government of Ontario.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking someone who is reliable, motivated, and thrives in a team environment. The ideal candidate should have:

  • A passion for high-performance sports and working with youth athletes.
  • Experience in coaching or project management.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Be a student currently living in Ontario, enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution, or have graduated within the past six months.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work weekends on-site during camps and events.
  • A valid Vulnerable Sector Screening & Police Screening Check (to be obtained upon employment).
