Are you excited? The 2024-25 season is upon us!
After a long summer of training, practices and tryouts, it is now time to step out onto the court for real.
This season is expected to be our largest ever as Ontario Volleyball has yet again broken membership records. The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) has seen a rise of 18% of-age and 23% overall of teams registered from this point last season. We cannot thank our clubs enough for their efforts in expanding the game in the province.
Our first weekends of tournaments will include the annual Fall Classic competitions. If you haven’t already checked out the merch over at Canuckstuff, head over and pick out your fit before November 4th to get it delivered to your door or have it waiting for you at their booth at EY Centre.
As with last season, all regular season events will utilize timu.ca/ova for schedules & results. AES will only be used for the EY Centre Fall Classic events and the Ontario Championships. Links can be found by searching your team name or Ontario Volleyball in the app to locate your tournament.
With this season beginning, referees have asked everyone involved to please review the scoresheet module. It has been a long time since anyone has sat at the scorers table so it would be great if parents and clubs take a look before they get to the first games.
While we are very excited for the season to begin, we ask that everyone keep it between the lines.
Launched in 2023, the OVA Venue Vibes campaign has laid out what we ask of tournament attendees. Help everyone feel welcome, keep our sport safe, and help us keep our venues. Members should also be aware of OVA Policies and Code of Conduct.
We thank all our members for their efforts to make the opening of our season as smooth as possible. Safe travels to all, have fun and the best of luck to all competing in this upcoming season. We look forward to seeing what you have in store for us!
