The deadline for Club application submission for the Ontario’s Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA) Compliance Rebate is quickly approaching. In this busy administrative time of the year, please don't miss out on this fiscal reimbursement.
ONCA replaced Ontario’s Corporations Act on October 19, 2021. If your Club is incorporated as a nonprofit under Ontario’s Corporations Act, then the Ontario’s Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (ONCA) applies to you. Your Club has until October 18, 2024, to review, update and file your governing documents with the Ontario government.
This Rebate Program is in place to assist Clubs with any legal fees paid out in assisting your Nonprofit Club become compliant and meet the October 2024 deadline to update your governing documents and file them with the government of Ontario.
If your Club has obtained legal advice to help with the process of updating bylaws and/or preparing articles of amendment, your Club is eligible to apply for a one-time bursary to help offset legal fees.
The one-time funding amount per successful Club application is $500.
