Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is officially launching the search for Host(s) for the 2027 and 2028 Ontario Championship (OC) Tournaments with the release of the Bid Application and Bid Manual.
Since inception in 2008, when the first festival-style OC event was introduced at RIM Park Financial Sportsplex in Waterloo, the Championships have provided an opportunity for all athletes and teams from across the province to compete on the provincial stage, under one roof.
Through the past 16 years, the OVA has seen an incredible increase of over 920 teams. Today, over 45,000 athletes, coaches, officials, organizers, volunteers, and spectators participate in 15 events spread across as many as four (4) weekends in various host cities.
In total, the event will require over 15,500+ hotel room nights and will have an over $21 million economic impact on the host community (if hosted in one city).
The OVA is seeking proposals to host its season culminating championship events for 2027 and 2028. They will host girls and boys tournaments is the following age divisions:
