Attention all coaches! To ensure a safe and inclusive environment for everyone, we've updated our coaching eligibility requirements

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment, we want to remind all coaches of the updated eligibility requirements for the 2024-25 season:

NCCP Anti-Racism Module: Starting in the 2024-25 season, all coaches must complete the free NCCP Anti-Racism in Coaching e-learning module available in The Locker. This is mandatory for all coaches.

Bench and Training Eligibility: Anyone who sits on the bench at an OVA-sanctioned event or is involved with youth athletes in an OVA club training environment must comply with the OVA Coach Eligibility Policy to register as an OVA member.

Equal Requirements for All Coaches: Both Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches must meet the same eligibility criteria.

Practice Coach Role: Coaches who participate only in training environments and do not sit on the bench during OVA events can register as a Practice Coach in MRS. Requirements for Practice Coaches include Making Headway, CAC Safesport training, and the NCCP Anti-Racism in Coaching e-learning module. Note that Practice Coaches are exempt from completing Foundations of Volleyball and the Making Ethical Decisions online evaluation.

Additional Requirements for Nationals: Teams planning to attend Nationals should review the Volleyball Canada Coach Eligibility policy, as it includes further requirements beyond the OVA policy.
