The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is pleased to welcome  it's latest staff member to the team. Lauren Sokolowski has been hired as the OVA's new Athlete Development Coordinator.

Lauren joins the OVA from Brock University where she worked as an Admissions Officer and currently serves as an Assistant Coach for the university's women's volleyball team.  Volleyball has been a large part of Lauren's life, starting at the club level as an athlete with Georgetown Impact and the Peel Selects and then at the university level with Toronto Metropolitan University from 2010-2015. Before coaching for Brock, Lauren spent five years overseas coaching at the professional club level.

"Volleyball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I feel extremely fortunate to be part of a team that shares my love and passion for the sport.

I look forward to making an impact and providing athletes and coaches with an incredible experience, on and off the court.  I cannot wait to give back to a sport that has given me so many incredible opportunities and relationships."

As the Athlete Development Coordinator, Lauren will plan, coordinate and deliver the Team Ontario indoor programs year-round including Team Ontario White/Red/Black & Canada Games, manage the Team Ontario Elite program and work with the Athlete Development staff to deliver the OVA's integrated programs - the Team Ontario Regional Program and Tall Maples.
