The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is pleased to announce the members of the Indoor Volleyball Development Council (IVDC) and Regional Coach Development Subcommittee (RCDS). The callout for candidates on the two committees was made in August.

The IVDC will bring together a diverse group of individuals for the benefit of continued growth and development in Ontario. Having been a proud member of the board for over 6 years now, it’s been my greatest privilege to have worked alongside some of these amazing coaches, board members and staff," said Danny Gosselin, Chair of the OVA Regional Council.
"The IVDC and the new coaching committees will be on the forefront of sport development and sustainability for the coming future, ushering in a new generation of athletes who will have the opportunity to experience 'Volleyball for Life'".
The Indoor Volleyball Development Council is a subcommittee of the OVA Regional Council with a purpose to review initiatives about the development of indoor volleyball and to provide operational and strategic advice. These include the areas of athlete development, coach development, competition structure and grassroots programming.
The IVDC will meet as necessary on dates determined by the appropriate OVA staff in consultation with the members participating for one-year terms.
The committee members are:

- Andrew Robb, Ontario Referee Chair
- Neil Bolton, 41Six Volleyball Club
- Corinne Williams, KW Predators Volleyball Club
- John Child, Leaside Volleyball Club
- Derek Dedman, Maverick Volleyball
- Matt Somerville, Kingston Rock Volleyball Club
The committee also comprises of the following OVA staff:

- Alishia Lidums, Director of Operations
- LP Mainville, Director of Athlete Development
- Carrie Campbell, Manager of Indoor Programs
- Mark Wiersma, Youth Competitions Lead
The Regional Coach Development Subcommittee will develop, review and implement non-NCCP regional coach development activities for the coaches of the six OVA regions. They will make suggestions to the regional chairs about how the regional funds could be used effectively for the development of coaches. Their scope will also include proposals from OVA staff whereby the RCDS will review and make recommendations from the standpoint of funding and logistics.
The RCDS will meet as necessary on dates determined by the appropriate OVA staff in consultation with the members.
