The Canadian National sitting teams were in action May 9-13 in Edmonton for the ParaVolley PanAmerica Zonal Championships in pursuit of 2024 Paralympic qualification. The men's team defeated Argentina on the final day to take the bronze medal while the women's sitting team ended their tournament with a victory as well, taking the United States to five sets.
The Canadian teams did not clinch a spot for the Paris 2024 Paralympics; however, there will be future opportunities for them to do so. The teams will regroup over the summer in preparation for the World Cup in November, their next opportunity to qualify.

After a hard five-set loss to Mexico in the quarterfinals, the Canadians bounced back with a sweep of the U.S. Virgin Islands in the following match but were unable to capitalize against the Dominicans who took the game 3-1 and left Canada to settle for sixth place. Ella Piskorz was Canada's second highest point scorer of the match with 14, highlighted by 8 kills.
Other notable performances from Ontarians in the tournament come from Trinity Shadd-Ceres who totaled 11 kills and 5 blocks against Mexico and Isabella Tehrani notching 8 aces against the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The United States won the Cup by defeating Mexico and hosts Puerto Rico secured the bronze over Costa Rica.
The NORCECA U19 Girls Pan American Cup was held in Ciudad de Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico on May 7-15.
