The OVA office is growing with the hiring of a new Operations Coordinator, Jessie Nairn. We are excited to welcome Jessie to the staff and announce her to the membership as she starts her role.

Jessie is no stranger to the sport of volleyball. Having been involved as a player for over a decade through the OVA youth competitions system, she was recently with the McMaster University women's program where she wrapped up a stellar career in the 2021-22 season. With the Marauders, Jessie garnered an OUA Championship, earned multiple OUA First Team All-Star nods, received the OUA Award of Merit and was consistently ranking at the top of the board for stats.

While at McMaster, Jessie was also devoting her time being involved in several of the university's committees and community programs. In 2021, she was awarded the OVA Scarborough Solars Award.

"I'm super excited to join the OVA team as the new Operations Coordinator," said Nairn.  "The OVA made such a big impact on my life growing up, so I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be involved in this community once again."

Jessie is now on a different side of the court as she coaches for EVP Volleyball with their 16U girls team, taking her years of experience in the game to the younger generation of athletes.

As the Operations Coordinator, Jessie will be involved in multiple program areas including club development, coaching and referee support, OVA Beach Tour and event management.
