The Ontario Volleyball Association is excited to announce that it has officially partnered with the Communiti Sports App to help our member clubs expand their reach. This partnership will provide a platform for the general public to discover and book indoor, beach, youth, adult, and sitting volleyball programs, clubs and coaches. The app is easy-to-use with a modern user-friendly interface.

Communiti is an app founded by developers who had a difficult time finding certified coaches for adult programming for themselves and later on, for their children. They realized that this was a barrier in Canadian sport for the general public, newcomers, and families in particular. Hence, their solution to build bridges between people and sport by providing access to quality certified programs and coaches at an affordable price. They are committed to making sport more inclusive and developing the next generation of athletes, officials, and coaches.

How can this benefit OVA registered clubs?

This partnership will be exclusive to OVA registered clubs and coaches to use in the public domain. The app is customizable to suit the club, program or coaching service being offered. This will be a great opportunity for our member clubs to expand their reach and promote their programs. For clubs and programs without a website and registration system, this is perfect for you, and it’s free. As part of the partnership, the ‘Communiti Loves Sport Fund’ will contribute to the OVA’s Athlete Assistance Program annually. Communiti has already piloted this approach with Skate Ontario, with great success.

How is this different from MeetUp and similar platforms?

Aside from a more intuitive and user-friendly experience, Safe Sport and NCCP certification is built right into the platform so OVA member clubs can feel confident that they are providing a safe environment and a quality experience for their future athletes. Only volleyball clubs and programs affiliated with the OVA will be allowed on this platform.
