The Ontario Championships is the largest volleyball event in the province and it takes all hands on deck to ensure it is run effectively, efficiently and safely. We are looking to the community for those who are interested and excited to work as event staff on the returning 2022 Ontario Championships this April!

The OVA is looking for the following personnel:

Event Staff Lead: Responsible for the supervision of the event staff and serve as a liaison between all event staff on site and the OVA staff.

Information Booth: Responsible for supervising the information booth in the main lobby, answering spectator questions, assisting with recruiter and media sign in, etc.

Event Crew: Responsible for collecting scoresheets and returning them to the tournament control centre as soon as the matches are finished, other court maintenance, and team check-in .

Team Ontario Testing: Responsible to assist with measuring athletes, height, wingspan, 1-hand reach, block jump and spike touch

The deadline to register is March 1, 2022

All Event Staff must be at least 16 years old. Group contacts must be a minimum of 18 years old. As per our Venue Requirements, Government and Public Health Unit regulations ALL event staff MUST be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination will be checked upon entry into the venue. Each event staff will be given an event day t-shirt and honorariums will be provided for groups and will be paid out at the end of the Ontario Championships. 

If anyone is wishing to volunteer and is not a member of the OVA, they will be required to sign an OVA Waiver Form and submit a police record check with vulnerable sector screen if over the age of 18. They will also be required to abide by all vaccination policies.

The OVA will assign one shift per application after the deadline of March 1, 2022. Teams will be required to submit their list of attendees once shifts are confirmed. Any additional questions can be directed to ccampbell@ontariovolleyball.org.
