The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) has released Return to Play (RTP) Protocols for Step 1 of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopening strategy. Step 1 of the Roadmap focuses on resuming more outdoor activities with smaller crowds where risk of transmission is lower. This includes outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people and outdoor fitness classes, personal training and sports training up to 10 people as well. The protocols will ensure clubs have the knowledge and tools for a safe and legal return to sport based on provincial regulations and public health requirements.
The RTP Protocols outline the requirements for operations, programming, off-court an on-court activities with supporting appendices to follow tracking and procedures.
Step 1 Protocols have been linked in the document below. The Protocols and its appendices will be housed at ontariovolleyball.org/ova-return-to-play
The OVA Virtual Town Hall taking place this coming Monday, June 21 will discuss the Step 1 Protocols along with an update on outdoor volleyball.
