Volleyball Canada has announced the cancellation of the 2021 Beach National Championships. The Championships were to be held at Ashbridges Bay in Toronto on August 20-22.
As per the release, "This decision, made in consultation with the event co-host, the Ontario Volleyball Association, comes after Volleyball Canada announced the cancellation of the 2021 Indoor Nationals, originally scheduled for May 2021 across Canada. This marks the second straight year that the Indoor and Beach events have been cancelled due to restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic."

Regarding events in Ontario this summer, the OVA will continue to work on delivering a modified Beach Tour season and Ontario Championships as soon as the province is moved into Step 2 of the Ontario Government Roadmap to Reopening plan. Regulations and details on what is permitted in this step are unknown at this time. The OVA will communicate any updates that are announced concerning the Roadmap.
