Return to Play - How to Protect Your Club

Thank you to everyone who attended the OVA Town Hall on Monday evening where we shared information on how clubs can protect themselves in regards to compliance and insurance. We were also joined by Region 2 and 3 Presidents, Danny Gosselin and Tauri Caputo who provided an overview of the OVA Regional Presidents Council and their responsibilities. To view the Town Hall, please visit and subscribe to our YouTube Channel.


Return to Play Compliance Checklist

As discussed in the Town Hall, below is a glance at the tasks clubs are to complete in order to be OVA RTP compliant.

  • Complete 'Risk Mitigation Assessment Checklist'
  • Submit the completed ‘Return to Play Acknowledgement Form
  • Complete and share the ‘Member Education Plan’ 
  • Complete and share  ‘Response Plan’ which includes:
    • COVID-19 Club Oversight Group Names
    • Club COVID-19 Protocols
    • Club COVID-19 Communications Plan
  • Complete ‘Back to Operations – Questions for facilities
  • Share the OVA Return to Play Protocol, the Club Education Plan and Response Plan with rented facilities 
  • All members have signed off on the COVID-19 waiver
  • Complete ‘Daily Health Screening
  • Complete ‘Participant Tracking Sheet’

The OVA will also be hosting another Town Hall next Monday, August 24th at 7:00 p.m. to discuss  Club best practices for adjusting to a COVID-19 world.

Moving into September, Town Halls will be held on a bi-weekly basis. Should members have questions they would like addressed for future sessions, please forward them to info@ontariovolleyball.org
