The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is committed to protecting the health and safety of our members, the public and those associated with our sport. We have been following the advice of the Government of Canada and public health experts such as Public Health Ontario and Toronto Public Health regarding COVID-19. In light of recent events, the OVA has made the decision to cancel ALL events up to and including April 5th, 2020. Information on upcoming protocols and required actions will be disseminated when they become available.

Cancelled Events
Grand Prix – 16U/18U
Bugarski Cup (16U/18U)
Eastern Elite tournament
Team Ontario Regional Program Tryouts
Winter Beach Tour tournaments
OVA March Coaching clinics
Beach Drop-In Sessions
Beach Full-time Training sessions
OVA Grassroots tournaments and jamborees*

Grassroots programs will be determined on a program by program basis.

Full refunds will be provided for all events and activities that are cancelled during this time frame. Communication surrounding refunds and postponed activities will be shared with participants of those programs as soon as possible.

A separate communication will also be sent next week to all athletes who have signed up for the high performance athlete identification regarding modifications that will need to be made for this process.

Further information on the Ontario Championships will be provided by the end of the day.

We will continue to monitor all appropriate public safety advice and encourage our members to take any and all reasonable precautions. It is our hope that play can be resumed as soon as it is deemed appropriate. We would like to thank our members for your patience and understanding. Until then, we hope you stay healthy.
