Volleyball Canada has confirmed that its members can participate in volleyball events that fall within the NORCECA zone (including the U.S.A.) that are not sanctioned by USA Volleyball (USAV). Letters of Good standing will then be required to participate in USAV sanctioned and non-sanctioned events. Teams will have to self-insure when outside of their respective country as well as exercising appropriate care from risk management and safe sport perspectives.
They can be issued for teams and individuals (i.e. players, athletes, coaches, referees, team managers and team contacts) and are valid for the entire competition season, expiring on August 31st. Letters of Good Standing are included as part of Volleyball Canada’s annual membership fee; however, should a request be received in less than five business days of the deadline, a $10 administrative fee plus applicable taxes will be charged.
A Letter of Good Standing can be requested through the OVA. Once confirmed at the provincial level, the request will be forwarded to Volleyball Canada who will issue an official signed letter to the individual/organization who made the request.
