About the Club:
Milton Edge is the fastest growing, all-year co-ed volleyball club in the Halton region. It provides indoor and beach volleyball programming for kids and youth in the region at various skill/experience levels and age categories. MEVC's indoor programs train at various facilities throughout the Town of Milton - including the Mattamy National Cycling Centre (Velodrome) - meanwhile the beach volleyball program trains exclusively at the Milton Sports Centre.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Coaching Director, the Head Coach is responsible for working with the Assistant Coaches and Team Parent Representative to co-manage a program that aligns with the club's philosophy and approach to athlete development. the head coach collaborates with assistant coaches to ensure the fulfillment of practices, games and tournament plans; adherence to Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) and Volleyball Canada's (VC) administrative rules, policies, and requirements; and communicates effectively with all team stakeholders.
The head coach supports and mentors the values of excellence in both academics and athletics, character development and leadership; and works collaboratively in a large club where financial, human and physical resources consisting of 16 teams and extensive development/community programming are shared.
