The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) is pleased to announce their partnership with both the City of Mississauga and City of Waterloo as host locations for the 2021 and 2022 Ontario Volleyball Championships. Each venue, RIM Park in Waterloo and the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga, will host six-day events annually showcasing volleyball players ranging from 11-18 years of age.

“We are proud to continue our long-standing relationship with the City of Waterloo and now are pleased to partner with the City of Mississauga,” said Alishia Lidums, Director of Volleyball Operations for the OVA. “Utilizing two exceptional venues in both Mississauga and Waterloo in 2021 and again in 2022 to achieve our strategic objectives of growing the game of volleyball while showcasing top volleyball talent, will be an amazing opportunity for both communities to witness.”

This will mark the first time the Paramount Fine Food Centre will host the Ontario Volleyball Championships that annually welcomes 35,000+ athletes and fans to their youth indoor events.

“We are proud that Mississauga has been awarded the 2021 and 2022 Ontario Volleyball Championships and look forward to welcoming the province’s top young athletes,” said Mayor Bonnie Crombie. “Mississauga is a sport-savvy community with premier facilities and veteran volunteers that will provide a world-class experience for all those visiting. We look forward to showcasing all the great things our city has to offer.”

Continuing to embrace amateur sport, the City of Waterloo continues to be weaved into the fabric of Ontario volleyball with the use of their venue.

“The City of Waterloo is thrilled to once again be the chosen host location for the 2021 and 2022 Ontario Volleyball Championships. Our community embraces amateur sport and these Championships are a marquee event for the volleyball community,” commented Mayor Dave Jaworsky, “2021 marks the 15th year we have hosted this tournament and we look forward to welcoming all the athletes, coaches and spectators to our city in April 2021.”
