 The Jason Senechal Memorial Award was created to recognize a youth division beach athlete so that Jason’s spirit would live on and to honour that athlete who has followed his lead by embodying the qualities that Jason personified. This year’s recipient of the award is Sam Schachter who has participated on the OVA Beach Tour for a number of years and has found continued success in each youth division as he developed and honed his skills. Sam has contributed to the spirit of competition and fair play and exemplified the qualities of honour, fair play and good sportsmanship that Jason was so well known and respected for.
