Welcome to the 2008 OVA Beach Tour! I would like to welcome back returning athletes and parents, and introduce the Ontario Beach Program to new members. It’s great to have you all participating in one of the most successful beach programs in North America. In 2007, we had a record of 352 teams participating in Provincials at Toronto’s Ashbridge’s Bay for two days of intense competition.
This year, we are making improvements and providing more opportunities for athletes to succeed and develop their beach volleyball skills. Not only do we have numerous Beach Tour events, satellite events are in full force, middle school and high school events are back, and the Ontario Summer Games 2008 will be held in Ottawa in mid-august.
The OVA Beach Player’s HANDBOOK is designed to provide you with essential information necessary for you to prepare yourself for the 2008 beach season. If at any time you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact the OVA office.
Have a great summer and I will see you at the beach!
