Working closely with its new Executive Director, professional staff and various members representing the interests of people actively involved in the delivery of volleyball programs and services within Ontario, the OVA has set an ambitious but realistic path for its’ future. With the use of a management consultant to help facilitate and record our proceedings we carefully reviewed and refined our organization’s mission and vision in order to reaffirm our purpose while clearly stating our focus for the future. For the first time, we established a set of organizational values. We will call upon these values regularly and use them as a set of “touchstones” as we deal with the challenges associated with implementing and monitoring our plan. Finally, we have set out five (5) major strategic directions which will serve as the OVA’s highest priorities from 2006 to 2010. We are excited about what lays ahead for the OVA. We are committed to growing the size, scope, and popularity of volleyball in this Province. We proudly share our future direction and look forward to working in partnership with all interested parties in meeting these objectives over the coming years.
