FOOD SERVICES AT RIM PARK
This year, RIM Park is setting up satelitte concession stands to offer more on site, healthy food options for participants. Forbes Hall will have a canteen set up and participants can purchase lunch and dinner options, and parents can purchase coffee and cold drinks as well.
There is also the option of pre-ordering lunches and dinners for your teams! Click on the links below for the food pre-order form, satelitte food locations and menus.

PHOTOGRAPHY

DSP Photography will once again be the onsite photographer for all three weekends of Ontario Championships. You'll be able to purchase your event photos onsite or take more time and look through the online photo gallery and purchase your photos after the event by clicking here.

Once again, the OVA will have vendor booths on site at Ontario Championships. Athletes, players, coaches and parents alike will be able to purchase merchandise from VSP, Asics, Mikasa, DSP Photography, Authentic Memories, Impact Canopies and more!

TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT FORMS FOR ONTARIO CHAMPIONSHIPS

Any team travelling in excess of 300km (one way) to Ontario Championships will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.36/km per vehicle (maximum 2 vehicles) from the 301st km point onwards.

ONTARIO CHAMPIONSHIPS AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Once again, Coaches attending the Ontario Championships will be asked to select one player from their own team to receive the OVA Award of Excellence medal. The Award of Excellence medal is awarded annually to one member of every 13U to 16U team and selection criteria varies per team.

There will not a be a formal awards presentation for the Award of Excellence. Each coach is asked to find a suitable time to award their selected athlete at Ontario Championships.

Please submit all player nominations to the OVA office, c/o Carrie Campbell by Friday April 2, 2010 in order to be included in the final award listing. 19U ELIGIBILITY

All athletes born in 1991 who are still in High School are eligible to compete in the 18U Ontario Championships provided that:

  • The athlete is 19 years old on the last day of the Volleyball Canada Open Tournament
  • The athlete is in their first year of grade 12
  • The athlete is included on the roster prior to the player registration deadline.

HOW TO SCORE A VOLLEYBALL MATCH


OVA teams are required to provide a scorekeeper and linesperson for each of their own matches. To assist teams with ensuring that they know how to properly scorekeep, the link listed below will help you learn how to use a volleyball score sheet and record match scores, substitutions, and player information, etc.
