In an effort to give youth beach athletes an opportunity to play to their ability and make entry to the sport easier the following adjustments have been proposed:
- Combine the 18U and 21U age divisions with the 24U division. This category will be referred to as the Youth Open division.
Under this system Ontario’s best beach athletes will have an opportunity to play each other at each tournament and allow every athlete the ability to compete at their level.
This system will allow easier entry to the sport for young beach athletes by reducing the number of opponents who have the advantage of an extra year of development.
Both adjustments will reduce the number of uneven or lopsided matches.

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions regarding the proposal:

2008 Beach Tour points will be applied to the new 2009 divisions for the 1st and 2nd event only. For and after the 3rd event, you will enter the Youth Beach Tour with zero points.

Youth Open and 16U will play on Sunday
