For the second year now, the OVA is excited to offer free certification opportunities for coaches in conjunction with the FUNdamentals Centre July 10th-13th at Humber College. The Level 1 Technical Course is geared toward current post secondary athletes who have an interest in coaching. This is a great opportunity for post secondary athletes to motivate and become role models for the centre participants. This course will begin with a classroom session on the 10th of July starting at 9am, then coaches will have the opportunity to put their knowledge to test during the centre. This course will run in conjunction with the FUNdamentals Centre, beginning with a classroom session on the 10th of July. The certification will then continue throughout the training centre, to allow for observation from the Learning facilitator. All coaching materials (workbooks and handbooks), overnight accommodations, meals, travel expenses, and honorarium are included with this course free of charge.
