Free Agency Declaration Period:  End of OVA / VC Season to June 30th

(For the 2007-2008 volleyball season)

Athlete and Parent Responsibilities: 

During this time period athletes and parents must complete these steps:

1.  Declare their intent to transfer to the OVA by email, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , and copy the club they are presently registered with.

2.  Include in their email a request for free agency plus their full name, address, telephone number, a valid email address and the name of their original club.  (Template available in the "Club Transfer Policy" or "Athlete Free Agency" sections on OVA website.)

Paperwork and cheques will not be accepted at the OVA office.  All “Free Agency” requests must be completed online.

Athletes who declare should inform the original club of their intentions.  Note registering as a free agent does not mean that an athlete cannot return and register with their original club for the upcoming season.

Non-original Club's / Coach's Responsibilities:

During this time period, coaches who are contacted by players and/or parents, interested in obtaining information, should encourage the athlete/parent to complete the above process before providing any information.  If the athlete has completed this process, you are free to exchange information about your club.
