Interested in playing volleyball in Ontario? Want to get your son/daughter playing volleyball, but have no idea where to start? You have come to the right place!

The OVA offers both indoor and beach programming across the province. Below is a brief overview of the programming opportuntities available for adults and youth - click on the program header for more information on each program and how to become a player!

Indoor Program Options

SPIKES Program

A developmental House League volleyball program designed for children and youth ages 6 to 16 of all abilities, where volleyball is taught in a supportive, FUN filled environment!

Indoor Youth Competitions

OVA offers competitions for boys and girls in age categories 13 & Under to 18 & Under from Mid-November to the end of April each year, culminating with the annual Ontario Championships. Players looking to join a competitive team will need to tryout at a local volleyball clubs affliated with the OVA; most tryouts occur in Septmeber and October each year. Regional Development Programs

The OVA's six Regions each run various player development camps/clinics throughout the year for athletes that reside in their region. Each region is also responsible for holding tryouts for their Region's Ontario Winter Games (indoor) and Ontario Summer Games (beach) teams.

Team Ontario Programs

OVA identifies and develops elite athletes through a variety of programming during the course of an athlete's career including the Regional Team Program, High Performance Centre, Team Ontario - Indoor, with aspirations of playing on the National Team and competing internationally.

Adult & Indoor Recreational and Competitive Leagues

Interested in joining a recreational or competitive indoor league in your area? While the OVA does not run traditional recreational or comeptitive indoor leagues for youth or adults, there are many local community centres and social groups that do! We recommend a quick internet search to find quick results for leagues in your area.

Beach Program Options

OVA Beach Tour

A competitive Beach Tour that travels the beaches of Ontario from May - August each year. The OVA Beach Tour is a 2 on 2 format for male and females in the following divisions: 12U (Girls only), 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 18U, Youth Open (24U), Adult Open & Elite. Note: Players are required to find their own partner for each Beach Tour event.

Adult Ashbridges Bay Beach Volleyball Leagues

OVA offers recreational beach leagues Monday to Friday at Ashbridges Bay in Toronto. Leagues start in May each year and run for three sessions: Spring, Summer and Fall. There is something for everyone with skill levels ranging from recreational, intermediate, competitive and elite; and teams of 6s, 4s, and 2s.
