To become fully certified at any level, a coach must complete the Multi-sport module, Volleyball Course and then complete the Portfolio and Evaluation component.
The Volleyball Course (formerly called theTechnical component) and Portfolio and Evaluation (formerly called the practical component) are managed by Ontario Volleyball. The Multi-sport (Intro to Comp courses) component is managed by the Coaches Assocation of Canada. For a listing of available Intro to Comp courses, click here
Level 1 NCCP Technical Assessment Request OVA offers and opportunity for coaches with many years of coaching experience to be assessed by an OVA Evaluator in your own practice setting rather than taking the NCCP Level 1 Volleyball Course. Click here to register
Hosting a Technical Clinic
Tired of waiting for a clinic to be held in your area? Don't want to travel to the next nearest one? Consider hosting a technical clinic! If you can get 12 coaches together that are interested in becoming certified and you have access to a facility, then you can host a technical clinic. Call your Regional Coaching Chair, or the OVA office for more information and requirements. |
