Tournaments & Hosting
Refer to the Provincials Indoor Competitions Manual for tournament dates, deadlines and fees. Please encourage your teams/clubs to host an event over the course of the indoor season, as it will assist the OVA in notifying teams/clubs of locations in a sufficient manner. If your team is interested in hosting or assisting with the OVA tournament in your Region, fill out the appropriate tournament application forms and indicate which tournament(s) you would like to host and contact the appropriate OVA staff or Regional Competitions chair.
Indoor Competitions Rules
There are new rules for Adult Competition and the following rules are highlighted:
- The libero substitution rule is in place for all divisions and a different libero can be designated for each set of a match.
- A maximum of 6 substitutions is allowed per team per set. (This is in addition to libero substitutions). There is no limit to the number of times a player may leave or re-enter a set as long as the maximum number of substitutions is adhered to and they leave and re-enter for the same player. VC substitution rule is in effect at National Championships that may differ from the OVA substitution rule.
- Court warm up protocol is 4-4-2.
