Also known as Senior Competitions, these member teams compete against teams of similar calibre, regardless of the age of the individual players. All registered teams have access to the Volleyball Canada Senior Open Championships. Check the "Tournaments" section to get information about upcoming tournaments.
Teams that would like to compete in Provincial tournaments must be registered as an OVA team and submit a tournament entry fee three weeks prior to the event. The team registration deadline for the 2008-09 season is on Sunday January 25, 2009 (11:59 PM) to be eligible for Ontario Championships. For further information, contact the OVA office .
Team Registration
For the 2007-2008 competition season adult teams will register as a team in the special event category. There will be no individual registration. Insurance and memberships fees will be included in a team entry fee of $300.00. Each team will be permitted a maximum of 15 players. The team entry fee is $300.00 regardless of the number of players per team. Registration will open September 16th, 2008.

Late rosters will not be accepted. If the team contact fails to submit a roster prior to the posted deadlines their team will not be permitted to participate in the event and will only be refunded 50% of their tournament entry fees. That tournament will not count as participation towards provincials.
No roster changes are permitted after the Furlani Cup. All rosters will be frozen after Feb. 13/08.
Players are not permitted to play for more than one team during the 2007-2008 season.
Team contacts are permitted to drop and add players to their roster. Once a player is dropped from a team they will not be permitted to play for another OVA adult team or in another OVA event. Once you’re gone, you’re gone.
Seeding
Teams must participate in either the Romet or Furlani Cup to be eligible for the Provincial Championships. Teams registrations will not be accepted after January 25th, 2009.
The seeding for the Romet Cup will be based on the Results from the Ontario Championship.
The seeding for the Furlani Cup will be based on the results from the Romet Cup, if a team does not participate in the Romet Cup they will receive a lower seed, regardless of their finish at the Ontario Championship (Ontario Championship results will only be consider if there is a tie between two teams who did not participate in the Romet Cup).
Ontario Championship seeding will be based on a team’s best finish from either the Romet of Furlani Cup. In the event of a tie the first tiebreaker will be participation, the team that competed in both events will be awarded the higher seed. If teams are still tied, the team with the best finish from the most recent event will be awarded the higher seed.
Entry Fees, Official Requirements and Tournament Prizing
Tournament Entry fees - $330.00 for the Romet and Furlani Cup and $440.00 for the two day Ontario Championships
Officials - Single officials for pool play and play offs
Prizing - $450 plus 2 Baden Perfection series Balls, Second Place - $200
