The OVA Beach Tour is a 2 on 2 format for male and females in the following divisions:  12U (Girls), 13U (Boys), 14U, 16U, 18U, 21U, 24U, Open/Adult & Elite.

Costs and Fees
There is a one-time beach membership fee to be paid prior to participation in your first OVA Beach Tour event of the 2008 season.  All fees must be paid online at  www.ontariovolleyball.org, Register Online Now.

Beach Membership Fee:
•    $15.00 - for currently registered members (athletes who participated in the OVA Indoor 2007-2008 season)
•    $30.00 – for new members ($15.00 OVA beach membership fee + $15.00 VC membership fee)

OVA Tournament Fee:
•    $75.00 (tax included) per team/event in the Youth and Adult/Open divisions.  

NOTE:  Satellite fees, Provincial and National championships fees may be adjusted.  

Registration

How to register
Teams must register for all tournaments via the secure OVA online registration system.  Please go to www.ontariovolleyball.org, Beach link followed by Register Online Now.  

Registering for Elite
All teams with more than 820 points are eligible to play in the Elite (AAA) division (plus teams from the qualifiers may make the main draw).  Teams who wish to take part in the Elite divisions, should register in the Elite Qualifier.  If the teams who registered in the Elite Qualifier have enough points for the Elite main draw, they will not be required to play in the qualifier and be seeded accordingly.  All registrants in the Elite/AA-A5 divisions will be seeded according to points in divisions AA-A5 (FYI – this may seed you in an unexpected division, if you would like to play Elite, register in the Elite Qualifier).  The OVA website will indicate if there is a qualifier or not prior to the tournament.  

Free Entries
Teams who finish first in Tier 1 of their division are eligible for a free tournament if they play up a division.  E.g. 18U Tier 1 winner would get a free entry into the next 21U tournament.  Winners of the 24U division receive a free entry into the next Elite tournament.  Conditions:

•    The free entry must be used by the next 2 tournaments (exception: 24U must use the free entry by the next elite tournament)
•    24U must play with the same partner in Elite as in the 24U division
•    The free entry is not exchangeable for cash value
•    If you would like to play with a different partner, you must register via the online system and apply for a refund (for half the amount)
•    The free entry is not transferable (to another player)
•    AA Winners will receive free entry into the adult Open division

2.    Division of tournament where team finished first
3.    Date of tournament where team finished first
4.    Date of tournament to enter

NOTE:  All teams playing up will be ranked in the higher division based on points (Exception: 24U playing Elite will be ranked one seed above the qualifiers or by current adult points).    
   
Deadline
Registration deadline is the Wednesday (by 11:59 PM) prior to the weekend’s event.  Late registrations are NOT accepted.
