The High Performance Centre (HPC) is scheduled to take placed from July 2nd to July 7th at Humber College, Etobicoke.  The top 80 athletes in the Province will be split up into 4 teams (each gender) and will compete in a friendly round robin tournament on Sunday July 6th and Monday July 7th.  This is an opportunity for athletes to showcase all the training they have received at the HPC.

HPC VENUE INFORMATION:

Date: 
Wednesday July 2nd to Monday July 7th, 2008

Location: Humber College, Etobicoke (Directions) & Campus Map

On site check in: Check in on Wednesday July 2nd between 3:00pm & 4:00pm at Humber College Residence Main Lounge (Campus Map). Upon arrival, attendees will be issued room assignments, keys and will be informed of the meal procedure.

Parking: Upon arrival to campus, residence guests may park temporarily in parking lot. More details to follow.  

Departure/Pick up: 4:00pm/after competitions on Monday July 7th, 2008 at Humber College Residence.  Parents and spectators may watch during Competition (July 6th & 7th)

Accommodations: At Humber College North Campus.  In double room or single rooms. Beds will be made upon arrival but there will be no room housekeeping service during their stay. 
 
Meals: All meals will be served in the Humber College Residence Dining Hall. Upon registration athletes will be informed of the procedure for meals. Meals will be served in accordance with schedule.  Please note that athletes are responsible for their own snacks and drinks. Feel free to either bring snacks and drinks or money to purchase these items.  Please notify any of the staff onsite if you have any concerns with food allergies or any special dietary needs.

Schedule: The HPC will consist of training sessions both in the gym and classroom at Humber.  A schedule will be provided upon arrival for the HPC. 

What to bring: Bring towels and toiletries along with changes of clothing and athletic shoes. Athletes should bring plenty of t-shirts since it could be very hot in the gym. All athletes that require taping MUST supply their own tape. Other things to bring include: alarm clock, water bottles, sunscreen, binder, pens/pencils, snacks, or money for vending machines or potential off site activities, books, cards, etc. for downtime. ALSO, Outdoor running shoes

Damages/Lost Keys: A room inspection policy will be in place upon arrival and departure from the HPC. Any damages to rooms should be reported immediately. Any damages will be billed back to the athlete. Keys to be handed in at checkout. The cost of lost keys is $100.00 per key and will be charged to the athlete.

Code of Conduct: The OVA Code of Conduct will be strictly enforced for athletes & coaches. Code of conduct infractions may result in sanctions including immediate expulsion from the HPC.
