The OVA Beach Tour is the heart of our Beach Program and one of the most successful beach volleyball programs in North America. The OVA Beach Tour is constantly evolving to provide more opportunities for athletes to enter the sport, succeed and develop their beach volleyball skills. Not only do we have numerous Youth and Adult Beach Tour events, but we also offer Satellite events at other locations each weekend to reach more beach volleyball players across Ontario.
The beach season culminates with the pinnacle event - Beach Ontario Championships held at Ashbridges Bay in Toronto each year. To be eligible to compete in Ontario Championships, each beach partner must compete in a minimum of three (3) events (two of which must be an OVA Beach Tour event).
The OVA Beach Tour is a 2-on-2 format for male and females in the following divisions:
Age Divisions for the 2017 OVA Beach Tour:
12U Girls: Born on or after September 1st 2004
13U Girls and Boys: Born on or after September 1st 2003
14U Girls and Boys: Born on or after September 1st 2002
15U Girls and Boys: Born on or after September 1st 2001
16U Girls and Boys: Born on or after September 1st 2000
18U Girls and Boys: Born on or after September 1st 1998
Youth Open: Born on or after September 1st 1992
Adult / Elite: No age restrictions
Unlike indoor volleyball, beach players do not have to have a coach or be part of a beach volleyball club, however there are options for both if desired. Please visit our Find a Club page for details on beach clubs across Ontario.
