Regional Team Training Centre Info for Athletes PDF Print E-mail
The Regional Team Training Centre (RTTC) is scheduled to take place at Humber College North Campus Etobicoke from July 14th to 17th, 2008 (Male) and July 21st to 24th, 2008 (Female).  18 teams (10 female and 8 male) will represent their region. 
Cost: $600 plus GST - This includes 4 days of training, 3 night accomodations, 4 days of meals, Ontario Summer Games registration (accomodations, meals, tournament), etc.

RTTC Check-in:  Athletes must check in at Humber College Residence Main Lounge on Monday July 14th between 12:00pm-2:00pm.  Upon arrival, attendees will be issued room assignments, keys and will be informed of the meal procedure.
NOTE:  Dinner may not be provided on the evening of check in (July 14th).  Regions, please make your own arrangements. TBA

Departure/Pick up: 7:30pm Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Humber College Residence.

Accommodations: At Humber College North Campus.  In double room or single rooms. Beds will be made upon arrival but there will be no room housekeeping service during their stay.

Schedule: The RTTC will consist of training sessions both in the gym and classroom.  A schedule will be posted shortly.

Participation and Registration: To participate in the 2008 RTTC, you must attend a Regional Tryout and be one of the 12 athletes selected to represent your Region. Please check the “Selection Process” page for detailed information on the tryouts in your Region.

Registration for the 2008 RTTC will be done through the OVA website.  A “How the Register” information sheet will be circulated to all Regional Presidents, ADP Chairs and Committee Members to ensure that the information is promptly passed on to the selected athletes. It is the Regions’ responsibility to ensure all players are registered.

Forms:
Please have the following forms completed and handed in prior to the RTTC via fax (416) 426-7109 or by mail.   Athletes must complete all forms with required signatures prior to participation in the 2008 RTTC.
Code of Conduct: The OVA Code of Conduct will be strictly enforced for athletes and coaches. Code of Conduct infractions may result in sanctions including immediate expulsion from the RTTC and Regional Games.

Feel free to either bring snacks and drinks or money to purchase these items.  Please notify any of the staff onsite if you have any concerns with food allergies or any special dietary needs.

What to bring: Bring towels and toiletries along with changes of clothing and athletic shoes. Athletes should bring plenty of t-shirts since it could be very hot in the gym. All athletes that require taping MUST supply their own tape. Other things to bring include: alarm clock, water bottles, sunscreen, binder, pens/pencils, snacks, or money for vending machines or potential off site activities, books, cards, etc. for downtime.

Damages/Lost Keys:
A room inspection policy will be in place upon arrival and departure from the HPC. Any damages to rooms should be reported immediately. Any damages will be billed back to the athlete. Keys to be handed in at checkout. The cost of lost keys is $100.00 per key and will be charged to the athlete.
