2010 RTTC (Training to Train 2)

Location: Humber College, Etobicoke
Dates: Female - July 14-17, 2010
Male - July 18-21, 2010

In 2008 the ADP Committee decided to separate the genders for Regional Training center. This will allow the camp to focus on Athlete Development and provide time for regions to prepare for the competition.

Cost: TBD This includes 4 days of training, 3 night accomodations, 4 days of meals and Ontario Summer Games fee.

The Regional Team Training Centre is an important part of the OVA’s Athlete Development pyramid (click here to view the pyramid).

The Centre associated is now called the Regional Team Training Centre (RTTC). This program is regionally driven.
Athletes born in 1994 or later are eligible to participate in the 2010 RTTC.
The Regions select the teams. Regions can start making athlete selections during the youth competition season and/or host tryouts to select athletes. Regions get to choose teams as follows:
- Region 1: 1 male - 1 female team
- Region 2: 1 male - 1 female team
- Region 3: 2 male - 2 female teams
- Region 4: 1 male - 2 female teams
- Region 5: 2 male - 2 female teams
- Region 6: 1 male - 2 female teams
The cost of attending the RTTC may vary from Region to Region depending on travel costs and other expenses.
