In 2008 the ADP committee decided to separate the genders for Regional Training center. There will be a Male RTTC from July 14th - July 17th and a Female RTTC from July 21st - July July 24th, both at Humber College North Campus, Etobicoke. This will allow the camp to focus on Athlete Development and provide time for regions to prepare for the competition.

Cost: $ 600 plus GST. This includes 4 days of training, 3 night accomodations, 4 days of meals, Ontario Summer Games registration (accomodations, meals, tournament), etc.

The Regional Team Training Centre is an important part of the OVA’s Athlete Development pyramid (click here to view the pyramid).

The Centre associated is now called the Regional Team Training Centre (RTTC). This program is regionally driven.
Athletes born in 1992 or later are eligible to participate in the 2008 RTTC.
Athletes will be selected by their Regions and will attend the RTTC and the Ontario Summer Games (OSG) or Regional Games. Ontario Summer Games are organized every other year in the even years (2008, 2010 etc.). Regional Games are organized by the OVA in the non-OSG years.
In 2008, the teams will compete in the Ontario Summer Games in Ottawa.
The Regions select the teams. Regions can start making athlete selections during the youth competition season and/or host tryouts to select athletes. Regions get to choose teams as follows:
- Region 1: 1 male - 1 female team
- Region 2: 1 male - 1 female team
- Region 3: 2 male - 2 female teams
- Region 4: 1 male - 2 female teams
- Region 5: 2 male - 2 female teams
- Region 6: 1 male - 2 female teams
The cost of attending the RTTC may vary from Region to Region depending on travel costs and other expenses.
