The Women and Girls in leadership and sport conference will celebrate women in leadership by providing hands on workshops to equip coaches, parents, athletes, and administrators with tools to promote leadership, life skills, confidence, and knowledge, and to continue to promote women and girls into leadership positions. Emphasis will be placed on coaching girls in sport, maintaining female participation in sport, and strategies to help advance women and girls into leadership positions. This conference will also aim to highlight the lived female sport experience by showcasing strong female role models who have shattered the ceiling and broken into leadership roles.

Educating the greater sport community on confidence building, leadership, and advocacy are main objectives of this conference. Inclusion of multiple sport disciplines allows us to learn from other sports best practices, while at the same time recognizing similarities that exist around the sport community and provide a support network.

The conference will include presentations from:

Alisha & Tamara both former Olympian Basketball athletes have transitioned into new roles in the sporting community. Their story, lived experience, and audacity to dream empower women and girls across all sports to reach their goals.
