The Ontario Volleyball Association in partnership with its staff, committees, members, and strategic partners seeks to successfully establish and achieve the following strategic directions. They are as follows: - The OVA shall develop and implement programs and deliver services based on sound business practices and the needs of members in a manner that is well articulated and applied with consistency, transparency and fairness while moving towards self-reliance.

The OVA will offer regular and accessible developmental opportunities for members to advance their playing, coaching, officiating, and administrative skills sets. - The OVA's governance model shall reflect equity in terms of Ontario's geography and member population.
- The OVA will offer volleyball programs and services to Ontarians regardless of age, skill level, geography, ethnicity, gender, or socio-economic status with the understanding this will be done on a realistic basis and with current organizational resources.
- The OVA shall provide a framework and environment for selected high performance athletes that will permit them to develop, compete, and perform at the highest level possible.
